Whitewave Music was created by John White & Anne Martin in 1998 originally as an "own label" to produce Anne Martin's first album Co..? (see the albums pages).
We decided to go it alone for a number of reasons, partly so we could be "in control", and partly due to the frustrations there are in the Scottish music business. We were also willing to invest a lot more time and money into a first album than any existing company would.
